I’m starting to realise I may not live long enough to write all the books I want to – on the other hand, the world may not actually need a thousand books by Lyn McConchie.

Oh, after reading your story in the MX Book of Sherlock Holmes stories, the one featuring the cat ‘Mandalay’, I certainly hope there’ll be more. I loved the story – and it pleases me no end to think Mr Holmes would come to the rescue of a kittycat and his mistress!
We, too, have an Ocicat here – Ronan. He’ll turn 16 next year, is hale and hearty (and spoiled!). I know we can’t keep him forever, but we make each day left with him count. Thanks again, Ms Mconchie!!!

delighted to hear from another Ocicat lover. AND you may be pleased to hear that Mandalay has continued. My usual publisher, Wildside Press, took what I call my ‘gathering’ of Mandalay tales – CATALYST – and it appeared last December. This is 3 novellas and a short story, and may be acquired in either print or digital there. In addition they are publishing CATACLYSM (same contents and format) shortly, and some of the novellas for this are already out. I’ve continued with them, and the third gathering, CATASTROPHE, has been completed, turned in and is waiting acceptance. If so it should out over 2018.
